Nomy Lamm once described herself as a "bad-ass, fat-ass, jew dyke amputee", and I'm pretty positive she was right. Nomy began her musical journey at age nine, and has never stopped. She thrusts herself into musical theatre, and the queercore scene of Olympia, WA -- she's even created a rock opera with local band, The Need. Her recordings are strictly DIY with minimal outside producing; combining punk, spoken word, eletronica, and sometimes even hip-hop (elemental wise). Lyrically, she's known to talk about sex, religion, politics, and anarchy. There's never a dull moment with Nomy, and if you're into riot-grrl, synths, humming, accordions, and a bunch of just.. random shit -- you'll love her. Pleasepleaseplease give her a chance. She's constantly performing, so if you live in Washington/Oregon, keep an eye out.
