Matchbox Messiah

Matchbox Messiah has been creating music for a long fuckin' time under various names (In Darkness Waits, Regretful December, Casey MC) -- but he's finally settled on this. Casey's music is hard to pinpoint. He uses guitar & piano for his main instruments, but is known to add effects to alter the mood of certain songs. Lyrically he's all over the place.. everything from 1st person, to 3rd person; stories, to real life.. most taking on a deep meaning (mostly depressing). His vocals are his own.. adding a rough exterior & harshness to indie-pop-rock isn't done too often. I like it quite a bit, to be honest. Definitely not for everyone, and I can't stress that enough. However, the guy is fuckin' talented.. no way around it.

Matchbox Messiah is Casey Charbonneau, and that's it!

What Is He Up To?

Casey has a new album slated to come out this year (hopefully), if not.. early next. He's performed live a couple times, and is looking forward to more of it. Keep in contact, add him on MySpace.

Nomy Lamm

Nomy Lamm once described herself as a "bad-ass, fat-ass, jew dyke amputee", and I'm pretty positive she was right. Nomy began her musical journey at age nine, and has never stopped. She thrusts herself into musical theatre, and the queercore scene of Olympia, WA -- she's even created a rock opera with local band, The Need. Her recordings are strictly DIY with minimal outside producing; combining punk, spoken word, eletronica, and sometimes even hip-hop (elemental wise). Lyrically, she's known to talk about sex, religion, politics, and anarchy.
There's never a dull moment with Nomy, and if you're into riot-grrl, synths, humming, accordions, and a bunch of just.. random shit -- you'll love her. Pleasepleaseplease give her a chance. She's constantly performing, so if you live in Washington/Oregon, keep an eye out.

What Is She Up To Now?

Outside of performing solo shows, and possibly making new material.. Nomy is in a local punk-circusy band, Tricrotic. You can follow her at her own website: NomyLamm.com
