Andrew Jackson Jihad is a folk-punk band from Phoenix, AZ;
forming in 2004. There's not much I can say about them other than they're fucking amazing.. so I'll just stick to that.

AJJ consists of a guitarist, and a stand-up bassist (with featured players) -- and they rock the fuck out of those things.
AJJ sings about everything, honestly. How smoking cigarettes make you cool, how people suck but then you love them again, how the WORLD sucks but you love it anyways, etcetcetc. They have humorous lyrics with serious playing. It's a perfect balance. The band shows no signs of slowing down, and that's good, because they're one of my personal favorite bands. A common theme with them is DIY. They'll play a show outside of a venue, inside a college, wherever the fuck they please. They live for the fans, and more artists need to be doing this.
The two members of this band are Sean Bonnette (guitarist/lead vocals), and Ben Gallaty (bassist).

Hour of the Wolf is a hardcore band from Prescott, Arizona. They're slowly forming into my favorite hardcore band, so if you want to prevent that.. top this band. They've been compared to Black Flag, but fuck that, no.
