Faraquet is a math rock, post-rock band from Washington D.C., USA. They formed in 1997, and take influence from bands like King Crimson, Jawbox, and Fugazi. Some place them along the lines of post-hardcore, and yeah that's understandable -- it's just a very nice combination of everything, really. The band had a good run, releasing two 7", an EP, and an LP before calling it quits in 2001.I think this band is fucking amazing, personally. I understand why some refer to them as a "highly influential" band; they were fucking incredible. Just check them out, you fucks. >O
The band consisted of Devin Ocampo (vocals/guitar/other shit), Chad Molter (drums/backing vocals/other shit), Jeff Boswell (bass/moog).
Where Are They Now?
Good fuckin' news! The band reunited in 2007, and are still around to this day. They haven't released any new material, but have gone on tours, and are working on releasing pre-LP material. Also, Devin & Chad continued making music together; forming the band Medications.
