Rebecca Nurse! Ah, one of my favorite bands ever. They were a pretty kick-ass local band from Rhode Island (I previously lived in CT), and actually found moderate success. They were featured on an episode of Real World from MTV -- OoOoOoOoOOOOH! Haha, yeah.. but uh, anyways. They went through a lot of changes, split up, reformed under a different name (The Radionics), and then split again -- coming to a close in 2007, I believe. Probably have been around since 1999/2000.
Their style was basically a blend of 80's rock 'n roll, punk, and modern pop-rock. They sang about whatever.. junkies, sex, the CIA, not wanting wash your clothes because you're a lazy fuck, and even Santa Claus. They were a really fun band, honestly.

The band consisted of Tracy Garrity (lead vocalist), Shawn Garrity (lead guitarist/backup vocals), Angelo Franco (drums), and Brian Niedzwiadek (bass). They changed their bassist up a few times, so yeah.. whatever.
Where Are They Now?
Brother & sister (Tracy/Shawn) have continued to make music together under the name VulGarrity. VG is actually really amazing, and even better than Rebecca Nurse. The duo performs a mixture of punk & garage revival. They released an album last year (that I bought), and I encourage you all to pick it up!
Angelo (outside of joining The Radionics) & Brian? No idea. I'm on speaking terms with Trace, and Shawn.. I could always ask, and then come back for an update! I probably will, hm...
Infamous Anus (2003)
I, Robot was an American emotive hardcore (screamo) band, and that's all I really know about them. They broke up at some point, and most of the members went on to form the not-so-great-but-kinda-alright band, Homesick for Space. I, Robot only released one album, and that was that. It's pretty awesome, though.. so your face. It just gets right into it, and doesn't really let up. The album flows together perfectly.
Maggat was a fucking incredible emo band from Nuremberg, Germnay. They're goddamn amazing, and everyone should like them or I'll chop your cocks off even if you don't have one.
Faraquet is a math rock, post-rock band from Washington D.C., USA. They formed in 1997, and take influence from bands like King Crimson, Jawbox, and Fugazi. Some place them along the lines of post-hardcore, and yeah that's understandable -- it's just a very nice combination of everything, really. The band had a good run, releasing two 7", an EP, and an LP before calling it quits in 2001.
Kap Bambino formed in Bordeaux, France circa 2001. They have their own label (WWILKO), and are fucking insane as shit. Their music is pure electro-punk with crazy ass synths, loud & noisy fucking distortion, and catchy vocals. People compare them to Crystal Castles all the time, but there's really no comparisson. They're two different types of electric music, honestly. This is electroclash at its best, and my personal favorite electro-punk group. If you want to headbang & dance at the same time... check these two out.
Matchbox Messiah has been creating music for a long fuckin' time under various names (In Darkness Waits, Regretful December, Casey MC) -- but he's finally settled on this. Casey's music is hard to pinpoint. He uses guitar & piano for his main instruments, but is known to add effects to alter the mood of certain songs. Lyrically he's all over the place.. everything from 1st person, to 3rd person; stories, to real life.. most taking on a deep meaning (mostly depressing). His vocals are his own.. adding a rough exterior & harshness to indie-pop-rock isn't done too often. I like it quite a bit, to be honest. Definitely not for everyone, and I can't stress that enough. However, the guy is fuckin' talented.. no way around it.
